Magic runs two independent 5x3 reel sets side by side. Both spin on the same stake, and the bonus can promote a symbol on each.
Two chances to trigger
Books count per reel set. Either set can start free spins, and both can be in the bonus at once.
Two promoted symbols
When both sets enter the bonus, each gets its own randomly chosen expanding symbol. Drawing the explorer on both is where the extreme rounds come from.
The cost
Doubling the reels does not double the return. Return stays around 95%, so the extra reels are funded by longer gaps between wins.
