The sixth reel does not add paylines. It adds one more column the promoted symbol can land on and expand across, which changes the shape of the bonus rather than its frequency.
Higher ceiling
With six columns available, a fully expanded high symbol covers more of the screen. The biggest rounds in Deluxe 6 outrun anything Deluxe can produce.
Longer dry spells
Return stays at 95.03%, marginally below Deluxe. The same money is redistributed toward rarer, larger outcomes — that is what raising variance means.
Same trigger
Three books anywhere still start the round, and retriggers work identically. Nothing about the entry condition changes.
